It was no surprise when after leaving the car at the car wash @8:30am last Saturday morning that Garfield decided to head to Ms. Jean under the bridge at White River for breakfast on the river banking.

Ms. Jean prepares her meals with that motherly love. The view of the river enhances the experience. I could sit there for hours and watch the fishermen roast fish and lobster on their make-shift stove, watch the men clean their boats or just watch the water as it rushes to meet the ocean.

One of my our dates (Garfield & Dee) was rafting on the White River on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the kids. It was very relaxing and as our rafter chanting pieces of Bob Marley songs, I placed my feet in the water and took my time to take in the beauty of the river.

Bob is our usual rafter insisted on taking me to up the river on his virgin (new) raft. Garfield left to retrieve the car and by the time he returned he it was just in time to join us for the second half of the rafting which took us down to the beach.

Jamaica has so much to offer to us as locals. The simple things we take for granted. Next year, create a list of 12 places to visit, one for each month. Grab a friend or family member and go exploring. Besides, No visa is required :)
